Welcome to our very first corporate blog! My name is Tim Francine, and I serve as the Director of Sales and Marketing for Fire & Life Safety America. I also have the privilege of creating/managing weekly blog contributions on behalf of FLSA.
The purpose of our blog is to:
- Communicate potential life safety code changes and provide interpretations
- Recommend services such as winterization of fire sprinkler systems during colder winter months
- Relay company related news like our newest office opening in Charleston, SC
- Provide insights regarding the life safety industry
We trust you will find our blog as a helpful resource should you have any life safety related questions as one of our most important company assets is that of our people and their industry knowledge. FLSA is proud to have team members who serve on the Board of Directors for the American Fire Sprinkler Association (AFSA), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) code writing committees (including NFPA 13 for sprinkler systems) as well as serve on the NFPA Technical Questions Service answering code questions from NFPA members.
If you are not familiar with our company, we are a team of life safety professionals dedicated to providing the highest quality fire protection services possible to protect lives and property. FLSA was founded in 1997 with our corporate headquarters located in Richmond, Virginia. We also have district offices located in 13 other cities along the east coast including the state of Texas. If you have facilities that fall outside of our company footprint, we have a National Accounts program with a partner program that extends our service capabilities across the United States.
